C-pap machineReplacing Your C-PAP Machine

We at Dr. Martin’s Dental office in Yorktown & Norfolk, Virginia are pleased to announce a new service for our patients who suffer from SLEEP APNEA. This removable appliance known as an Emerson EMA as well as another product called a TAP appliance can replace your current C-PAP machine. This provides much more freedo…m of movement and ease when you travel. It works by gently advancing your lower jaw, thus opening your soft palate and your airway. Our first few patients to take advantage of then have been very pleased.

How the Emerson EMA and TAP Appliances Improve Airflow

The Emerson EMA and TAP appliances are designed to address sleep apnea by repositioning the lower jaw to prevent airway obstruction. This gentle forward movement of the jaw helps keep the airway open, reducing blockages and allowing for smoother, uninterrupted breathing throughout the night. These custom-made appliances are tailored to each patient’s needs, offering an effective and comfortable solution to sleep apnea.

A Travel-Friendly and Comfortable C-PAP Alternative

Many patients find C-PAP machines cumbersome, especially while traveling. The Emerson EMA and TAP appliances provide a more convenient option, offering a lightweight, easy-to-pack solution. Without the bulk of hoses, masks, and power cords, these oral devices allow patients more freedom and comfort, both at home and on the go. They are compact, making them an ideal travel companion for those dealing with sleep apnea.

Boosting Sleep Quality for Better Health

Sleep apnea can have serious consequences on overall health, leading to chronic fatigue, heart disease, and an increased risk of stroke. By using the Emerson EMA or TAP appliance, patients can experience improved sleep quality and reduce their risk of these health complications. With fewer interruptions in breathing, individuals can enjoy deeper, more restful sleep, leading to better energy levels and overall well-being during the day.

Custom-Fitted for Your Comfort and Effectiveness

At Dr. Martin’s Dental office, we offer custom-fitted Emerson EMA and TAP appliances for optimal comfort and effectiveness. Each device is carefully tailored to the patient’s unique dental structure, ensuring a perfect fit. Our team works closely with you throughout the treatment process to monitor progress and make adjustments as needed, ensuring the best possible outcome for your sleep apnea management.

A Non-Invasive, Low-Maintenance Solution

Unlike surgical interventions or the complex maintenance of C-PAP machines, the Emerson EMA and TAP appliances provide a non-invasive, easy-to-maintain solution. Patients can simply wear the appliance during sleep to reduce apnea episodes, and cleaning the device requires minimal effort. This simplicity makes it an attractive choice for individuals seeking a hassle-free way to manage their sleep apnea symptoms.

Patient Success Stories: Better Sleep, Better Life

Our patients have seen significant improvements since switching to the Emerson EMA and TAP appliances. Many report feeling more rested, experiencing fewer apnea episodes, and enjoying the convenience of the appliance compared to traditional treatments. At Dr. Martin’s Dental office, we are proud to offer this life-changing solution to our patients and look forward to helping more people experience the benefits of improved sleep.

TESTIMONIAL

I have only had my new Emerson EMA for a few weeks, but I really LOVE it!! I got my first C-PAP machine many years ago and have used several models, along with various mask…all were very aggravating and cumbersome to use and none were reall…y comfortable. I perservered because I definitely needed them and they worked. Several years ago Dr. Martin suggested I might try the TAP appliance, and I was so happy to get rid of that darn C-PAP machine. When traveling, no more bulky machine to pack or hunt an outlet to plug it in. I didn’t think it could get any better until I got my new Emerson EMA …it’s so much lighter and easier to clean, I can talk with it in, it doesn’t cause me to gag (I have an easy gag reflex), and it is SOOO comfortable. I would recommend anyone on a C-PAP machine to try it. And go see Dr. Martin to fit you with one.- Jim Landes
